A multi-sport pitch at Unley High School

The Forestville Hockey Club in collaboration with Unley High School, is building a new all-weather sports pitch and modest club house on the western side of Unley High School.

Multi-Sport Pitch

A new multi-sport pitch with fencing and lighting, for hockey, netball, and touch football. The pitch will have a small single storey club room, gender-neutral change rooms, canteen, meeting space and storage area.

The pitch will add to the school’s existing sports facilities consisting of the Life Be In It gymnasium, school fitness and specialist rowing training facility, and the hard courts currently under construction on school grounds adjacent to Kitchener Street. The new multi-sport pitch will provide students and the local community with an opportunity to play hockey, netball, touch football and other sports on a high-performance surface. The facility will be used by:

  • Unley High School

  • The Forestville Hockey Club

  • Other local schools & sports clubs

The community’s feedback to date has been taken on board as the designs have progressed. This has included the engagement of technical experts to investigate traffic, parking, noise, and site drainage. Consideration of these impacts have been included in the preliminary architectural design work which is now available.
